The path to understanding your health.
The idea for Kosh Health came out of Imroze's work as a healthcare interpreter. In the middle of the pandemic, sitting inside those conversations, it became clear that language was only the visible layer of a much bigger set of problems in how healthcare and social welfare systems serve Panjabi communities.
Kosh Health was founded to build an accessible, comprehensive platform for culturally competent healthcare information, one that goes beyond translation to account for the community's digital literacy needs as well. The goal is to change how the Panjabi community engages with both mental and physical health, delivering knowledge across different mediums, wherever and whenever people need it.Kosh Health carries the same commitments as the Panjabi-Centred Design framework into direct practice: building with the community rather than translating for it.
